Behavioral
The Caribou is one of the main animal that the Arctic wolf eat. They eat a lot of meat and other things they can find that isnt faster then them.
Arctic wolves are very good with playing with their own kind... but when it comes to other wolves or dogs they are a threat to the Arctic Wolves. The arctic wolves are very protective of each other and if another animal tries to harm any of them then they will attack.
The arctic wolf lives in the arctic because it is very cold and they dont have to live in cold enviroments but most of them do because most of their prey lives in the coldeness and in order to survive they have to be in some type of cold enviroment.
The typical weight of an arctic wolf is between 99 and 154 pounds. They also generally grow to be 3 to 6 feet long, which takes their tails into consideration too.
Physical
The arctic wolves have these kind of ears to help them hear and catch their prey. Their ears are meant for zooming into sounds and listening for anything that could be a threat to them. They also have very small ears which helps them maintain body heat
The arctic wolves tails are much longer then the gray wolf species. They are much more adapted to their tails being long then the gray wolves. The gray wolves dont usually have that long of tails and if they do then they are very special.
No other wolf can offer the same color as the arctic wolf. The color of the arctic wolf is very unique due to wear it is found. But some species of wolves do have the some white coloring that is completely white. The do also have some different colors like black yellow and yellow in other places though.
In this case with most species of wolves, only the alpha male and the beta female can mate. This is often the reason why younger wolves about 2 years of age head out on their own.
